  The service itself was alright, considering the staff was all teenagers. They were friendly enough, perhaps a bit too friendly; the guy with one arm was actually doing 90% of the work in the kitchen while the siblings were chatting. The first thing I said to the kid behind the register was "I think I'll do six softshell tacos," and he did a decent job up selling me to a six pack and a pound, but in the end they made them all hard shell.
  They did offer to make them over, but I was in a hurry and there were other people waiting, and I didn't want to be that guy. Like I said, the service was friendly, just make sure your order is clear.

  It used to be, for years, that I was able to count on consistency in both the food and the service. It's why I always enjoyed stopping here.
  
  But over the 6-12 months, I don't know what's going on. TJ's is all over the place.
  
  They might be open. They might not. They might have 2 employees on the clock. They might have 4. The Ole's might be crispy and hot. They might be soggy and just warm, like today.
  
  Having worked at TJ's during my teenage years, I know the standards of quality that are to be delivered, and they just aren't being delivered here.
  
  Today's visit, along with my last two, have been utterly forgettable, and I think I'll just have to get my Taco John's fix somewhere else from now on.
  
  But I will say this...the guy with the disfigured arm...he rocks. I watch him work and he is efficient and he is always professional & polite. He's probably the only good thing about this location that I've seen over the last 6 months.
  
  I hope they get their act together soon.
